Emily Moschowits is passionate about science writing and communication. Since publishing two articles in an online youth science publication while in high school, she has furthered her skills by attending one of the best colleges for writing in the US, Hamilton College. Before joining Oftalmolog, Emily founded a nonprofit in upstate New York, that coordinated resources for local urban gardens and helped increase nutrition education for the community. She has a diverse research background, including interning in a genetic anthropology lab where she used mtDNA to study migration patterns, studying the agroecology and climate vulnerability of coffee in Costa Rica, and various facets of dry eye disease.
